ABOUT
THE BAND
The
Moot are a very talented 2 piece female DIY band from the
UK with their very own original blend of Moot Music combining
elements of Reggae, Pop, Funk, Ska, Soul, Blues and Nu Jazz.
The band have a unique live sound that has often been compared
to that of a full band. They like to keep things simple and
have a clean and uncluttered sound.
Lead
Singer and Guitarist Clare’s fantastic technique and
song writing ability combined with Eryl’s Drumming make
for one of the most unique interesting lively music experiences
you will come across.
The
Band have played over 100 gigs since they formed in Galloway,
Scotland 2005 and have played some fantastic places including:
Wimfest
at the Barfly in Liverpool, Thimbleberry Music Festival in
County Durham, the Holmfirth Picturedrome, An Ice Ring in
Huddersfield Town Centre and the Rock Club in Covent Garden,
London.
In
July 2008 The Moot had a fantastic weekend supporting The
Beat and Hayseed Dixie at Holmfirth Picturedrome.
The
Moot have also played in a Glass Box in Bristol as part of
bbc upstaged this was broadcast LIVE on BBCi and the BBC website
for 11hrs over 2 days on the 14th and 22nd of February 2008.

The
Moot will also have some footage that was recorded at the
above aired on NSJ (Japanese tv) on 21st March 2008
The
Moot played to their biggest Live audience yet at Thimbleberry
Music festival in September 2007 where 3000 people bounced
and danced to their music.
In
August 2007 The Moot won a heat and a semi final and came
overall 3rd in a National Battle of The Bands competition
held at the Rock Club London.
The
Band have had many tracks played on podcasts from all over
the world (all listed on myspace) and have had tracks played
on South West Sound Radio, and BBC Raw Talent.
The
Moot played 2 acoustic song live on BBC Raw Talent in Nov
2006, as a result Snuggle up was entered into the BBC Raw
talent End of year song competition 2006.
The
Moot’s Passion for good catchy uplifting songs, combined
with amazing energy levels, and excellent musicianship, makes
them one of the best LIVE acts around.
